Creating Leisure Ltd was launched in July 2003 as a community based, non profit making organisation to provide quality leisure provision and to re-invest any trading surplus back into the communities that it serves. The company specialises in the development and operation of local authority leisure facilities.
The new not for profit distributing organisation (NPDO) currently manages a wide range of leisure and sporting facilities in partnership with Southend Borough Coucil, providing a quality leisure service for the local community. The portfolio of managed facilities includes swimming pools, sports halls, dance studios, gyms, health suites, tennis and badminton courts, childcare, holiday schemes, restaurants, cafeterias and licensed bars.
The company employs over 250 full and part time / casual staff and has an excellent record as a training provider and career enhancer.
The facilities within the Southend Borough Contract have all been Quest accredited (the leisure industry quality kite mark scheme).
Creating Leisure Ltd can access and provide a full range of options from large-scale investment projects funded by PFI credits to “Best Value” management contracts with a strong community focus.
